Warhammer Survivors

Warhammer Survivors Squads, Followers & Co-op

At a glance

Squads are NPC followers linked to Keywords and weapons. Warhammer Survivors is planned as single-player at launch; a group of troopers on screen does not mean multiplayer co-op.

Announced squad system and single-player launch plan - October 2026

How Keywords create a squad

Characters, weapons and some items have Keywords. If your champion acquires a weapon their Keywords do not allow them to use, an eligible ally can join to wield it for them.

That is why picking up another weapon can bring another fighter onto the screen. Your survivor remains the character you control.

What followers can do

Followers extend your attacks. They cannot take damage or collect items, and multiple followers can accompany a champion.

Kozlowski’s Lasgun is one example: upgrades bring additional Cadian Shocktroopers. For the playable character, follow the Kozlowski unlock guide.

Is there multiplayer co-op?

The launch focus is single-player. The Steam store lists Single-player, and the developer says it will tell the community if multiplayer is added later. NPC followers are part of your own run, not additional human players.

Squad examples

These examples explain the system across the game’s announced content. They do not imply that every character is available in the demo or that every weapon adds a follower.
